Terms of service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Laser Assistant ("Laser Assistant", "the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. The Service is operated by Intuitive Tool LLC, a Mississippi limited liability company ("Intuitive Tool", "we", "us").

2. The Service

Laser Assistant is software that adds voice control to compatible laser welders. The Service consists of: software installed on your laser welder's PC, a web-based customer portal, and remote installation and support services.

2.1 What we provide

  • Software license and installation on one designated machine per subscription
  • Customer portal access
  • Software updates and TTS audio updates while subscription is active
  • Support through the website customer portal
  • Calibration for your specific laser welder model

2.2 What you provide

  • A compatible laser welder and PC (see Compatibility page)
  • Required USB hardware (microphone, foot pedal, speaker, powered USB splitter)
  • Internet connectivity for install, updates, and portal access
  • Remote-access cooperation during installation (e.g., TeamViewer)

3. Subscriptions and billing

Subscriptions are billed annually or monthly. A one-time onboarding fee of $95.00 USD per machine applies, waived for a limited time. Subscription amounts are to be announced. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled. You can cancel anytime from your account portal — your access continues through the end of the current billing period.

3.1 Hardware orders

Headrests, Settings Spheres, the Mic Speaker Assembly (MSA) and the pedal module are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. Shipping within the lower 48 United States is a flat $15.00, and to Alaska and Hawaii a flat $25.00. We also ship internationally; for orders outside the US, any import duties, taxes and brokerage fees are charged by the carrier and paid by the buyer on delivery. 4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract Laser Assistant's source code
  • Resell, sublicense, or transfer the Service to others without our written consent
  • Use the Service in a manner that could damage your laser welder or harm others
  • Bypass safety controls (click limits, beam-scaling acknowledgment, etc.)
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

5. Operator responsibility

Laser Assistant is an assistive control tool. The operator remains responsible for all welding operations and safety practices. We are not liable for damage to materials, workpieces, the laser welder itself, or for personal injury arising from operator actions taken on Laser Assistant's prompts or independently of them.

Beam diameter / power scaling is a calculation, not a guarantee. The operator is responsible for confirming each proposed change before applying it.

6. Data and privacy

Your use of the Service is also subject to our Privacy Policy. In short: voice audio is transmitted securely to our servers to process your commands and is used only for that purpose. Your recipes, customer information, and operational data are yours.

7. Refunds

Our refund terms are described separately in our Refund Policy.

8. Updates

We push software and audio updates to your installation. You consent to such updates being applied automatically when your machine checks in with our servers. Updates may add features, fix bugs, or change behavior. We do not break compatibility with your laser welder model without prior notice.

9. Warranty disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Specifically, we make no warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be communicated by email to active subscribers. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Mississippi.
